Ishmael Claxton

Ishmael’s exhibition is divided into three smaller exhibitions of past present and future. First his migration/integration series which starts in Ireland and continues in Morocco. Second is a mix of portrait of the strange, bad, and the weird. Third is personal project Cyper punk, looking at the future of punk culture through Ishmael’s eyes.

Ishmael Claxton is a photographer born in New York and living in Dublin for 8 years. He has exhibited widely, both in Ireland and internationally, and this year has exhibited in Outset Gallery, 126 Galway and Rua Red Gallery, Dublin. His portrait of artist Sean Hillen was selected for the Lens Culture Portrait Choice Awards 2023. He had a solo exhibition 2022 in Gallery X, Dublin. He took part in exhibitions last year with Hang Tough Contemporary, Centro Espositivo San Vidal in Venice, Atlantic Gallery, New York and Gallerium, Ontario Canada.
